Jenks Sees Huge Boost in Sales Tax Revenue Since Outlet Mall Opening (Photo: Tulsa World)
- Sales tax collections in the city of Jenks have increased 27.4% since Tulsa Premium Outlets opened in mid-August, according to a Tulsa World analysis of sales tax data.
- Since the outlet mall opened Aug. 15, Jenks has received $5,532,518 in sales tax collections, a $1,191,550 increase in receipts over the same time a year ago.
- “This outlet mall represents Day 1 of a new season of economic prosperity for our city,” Jenks Mayor Cory Box said during the mall’s opening.
